Good mechanical, chemical and temperature resistance properties
RE1: 250gr.
EE60: 82.5gr.
Gel time (45-75 min at 20 ° C)
RE 1 is an epoxy resin of general use of high performance, and that given its high purity is ideal for demanding visual applications, such as lined, manual rolling in open mold, with vacuum bags, countermold, etc. admitting in any case reinforcements with carbon fiber, aramid (such as Kevlar®) or glass.
This resin made from bisphenol A has a low viscosity, which allows a good wetting of the fibers and thus avoid the appearance of bubbles, presenting after solidification good mechanical properties, chemical and thermal resistance, especially when used with carbon fibers and aramid fibers.
One of the advantages of this mixture of resin and hardener is its clarity, which makes it perfect for applications where the laminates are not going to be painted and the carbon or Kevlar reinforcements are going to be visible.
This resin will be cured with a hard and durable finish that can be flattened and polished to a high gloss or painted with a suitable clear lacquer coating.
Special properties: in temperatures ranging from 0ºC to 10ºC, the resin is light in color and is not as cloudy as some other epoxy resins.
It is essential to use the correct weight ratio and use a digital scale, since otherwise the properties of the resin would be affected. Do not add more hardener looking to accelerate the curing time.
