LOXEAL 36-14

Loxeal 36-14 is a two-component epoxy resin, formulated to join different types of materials: composites, metals, ceramics, ferrites. Particularly indicated for electromechanical assemblies (adhesion of magnets in electric motors).

His best feature is tenacity. It is viscous and does not drip. Thixotropic, which means that despite its high viscosity it can be well controlled with mechanical and manual means for its application. It covers gaps between layers of up to 3mm and its intermediate curing makes it operational in a short period of time. It can be machined once cured. It offers very good impact resistance and good resistance to water, oil and gasoline.

Apart from gluing metallic materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) it adheres perfectly to composite materials such as carbon fiber (CFRP), GRP (UP), GRP (EP) and SMC. Some thermoplastics such as PVC, ABS, ASA and some PA references are its best applications. It is a good choice for bonding metal against composite materials. Metallic inserts, embedded structures, etc. When the union works in compression, the performance is high.

Against it, the gray color in overflows in darker materials is not the most aesthetically appropriate. Its modulus of elasticity, despite its great tenacity, is intermediate, so it can give way under high flexural loads. It is not the best option on PMMA surfaces and neither is it on galvanized metal surfaces. Faced with very corrosive substances, both acidic and basic, it can be affected if the contact is permanent on said adhesive.
