LOXEAL 33-26

Loxeal 33-26 is a two-component polyurethane resin, indicated for bonding a wide range of materials such as composite materials (eg carbon fiber), metals, wood, glass and plastic.

The curing time is from 4 to 8 minutes, it allows the repositioning of the pieces.
It provides a flexible film, with good resistance to impact, static loads and stresses generated by temperature.

It has good temperature resistance up to +100ºC, with peaks of +120ºC.

It has a medium-low viscosity and therefore works well on very tight surfaces and its main application is carbon fiber bonding. It also adheres well to metallic materials with surface treatments such as zinc-plated, blued, nickel-plated... It is a very versatile product, since it bonds a multitude of substrates, both composite and thermoplastic, and always better on extremely hard surfaces, including Kevlar, which falls within the group of the Synthesized PA.

Its best feature is the hardness in the union of materials of the same quality and its resistance to water and other agents such as oils and hydrocarbons.

Against it, it has an isocyanate molecule which is advisable to protect in use before curing. Later it is harmless.

In materials with low and medium hardness it can fail and despite its flexibility up to 20%, the amount of this product to apply for this effect to redound to the piece must be very low (apply thin films). The application thicknesses if the pieces are going to generate buckling movements will not help the adhesive. Apply fair and fine loads between layers and avoid excessive stresses between the pieces, which are more pronounced when they are different materials.
